Happy Tails Pet Sitting is a service you can always call on to care for your pets. No issue is too big or too small for us. Your furry family is our number one priority and we will work with you to ensure your pets safety and happiness while you are away. We will always try to keep the same sitter with your pet, every time you schedule, so they are familiar with their care-giver. Our staff and our sitters will quickly become like family to you and your pets.

Happy Tails is a licensed pet care provider based in Alpharetta, Georgia, but covering most of north Atlanta. All sitters are licensed, insured (Business Insurers of the Carolinas) and have passed extensive background checks. We have won numerous awards for our pet sitting practices, most of which are based on client referrals. We have a very good relationship with a number of local vets, groomers and doggy daycares. We are also proud members of the Georgia Network of Professional Pet Sitters (GNPP), Pet Sitters International (PSI), and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS).

How We Started

Happy Tails Pet Sitting was created out of love and necessity and can be credited to our dog Sam(antha). We adopted her from a shelter and quickly realized that she was going to change our lives forever. Sam had severe separation anxiety and needed constant human interaction or she would become destructive to herself and to her physical surroundings. On top of that, we had one kitty with diabetes who needed insulin injections twice per day at very specific times, and one kitty with thyroid problems that needed medicine twice per day as well. Normal tasks like going to work, to the store, out to eat, or on a vacation (something we could not even dream about), were not simple and required extensive planning.

One of our biggest challenges was finding people we could trust to provide the level of care they all needed. It was a difficult task to put it lightly. Soon after, I decided to combine my passion and love for animals, my business degree, and my new found spare time (as I quit my corporate job to care for Sam) to start Happy Tails. We understand what it’s like to worry about our furry family members, especially when they have special needs.

We have been growing strong now for nearly 20 years and pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care for your pets by having (hands down) the BEST pet sitting team ever! We look forward to working with you and your furry family.

When you are away, we know that you would love to have your furry children with you. But when that is not possible, Happy Tails offers several options to care for your pet(s) and your home. From pet sitting and dog walking to our ever popular “Slumber Parties” (in-home overnight care), we offer a wide range of services to address any needs you may have.
