Meet Your Sitter

Thanks to all of our wonderful clients for spreading the word, we continue to grow and expand. Below is some information about our extremely talented and caring staff. (Don’t worry, they are all fluent in “Woof” and “Meow”).

Katrina

I have five children (three are furry children) and have been married for almost five years. I have more than ten years of pet sitting experience and about 15 years experience with Foster Care and Animal Rescue. I have a degree in Business Admin and Marketing from University of Florida (GO GATORS!). I started Happy Tails because I have a ‘Special Needs” dog and I basically turned my life around so I could accommodate her needs. We even bought our truck because it was the only one where the windows rolled down all the way so she could stick her head out! In my quest to help my dog mentally and physically, I decided to start a pet care service for parents that are obsessed and paranoid about their pets, like me. To my delight, we have been going and growing strong for almost 7 years now.

Elizabeth

I provide pet sitting, dog walking, and overnight services to clients in Alpharetta, Roswell, and surrounding areas.  I enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds, and making a living doing what I love is a dream come true!  I share my home with three wonderful rescued cats and one great husband.  I have several years of experience with dogs, cats, and fish of all sizes and shapes; from Teacup Terriers to Newfies, Siamese to Maine Coons, Guppies to Koi.

I’m well-versed in administering injections, subcutaneous fluids, and medication to cats and dogs, as well as caring for pets that have recently had surgery, or have been sick or injured.  I routinely brush my four legged clients, and do my best to leave them more calm and happy than I when I arrived.  I never go out without my pet sitting duffel bag, which includes: human and pet first aid kits, vet and client contact information, treats, fresh catnip from my garden, spare collars and leashes, towels, brushes and combs, cleansing cloths, doggy bags, flashlights and reflective safety gear for night walks.  I look forward to meeting you and your extended family!

Debi

I have been at home taking care of my children and the youngest, my daughter, is a senior this year.   As well as raising our two golden retrievers, Daisy our female, who is five and Digger, our male is 3.   I have always loved animals, especially dogs.  Life would not be life without our four legged family members!  I enjoy taking care of other peoples furry babies when they cannot be at home or want to be away and cannot bring their pets with them.  I love the saying….”Do what you love and never work a day in your life.”  I believe that quote pertains to working as a pet sitter….I LOVE WHAT I DO!   I have never provided care for a dog that I did not become friends with!! …I .LOVE MY JOB WORKING WITH HAPPY TAILS and all the special animals I am privaledged to care for! I look forward to meeting you and caring for your furry four legged babies.

Kay

I’ve always had one or more dogs for as long as I remember, as well as fish, birds and cats. Love of animals came through my father (whose favorite pet was his beloved cow who pulled a wagon for him and his sisters!) and seemingly intensified with me. I know the feelings and concerns of pet owners, and make every effort to give the care and attention that would be missed when the family is away.

I’ve personally had dogs covering a wide size range, including several mixed breeds, a Collie, Pekingese, Terriers, Pugs, and an Olde English Bulldog. Right now, I have Sophie, a Silky Terrier and Simon, a Black Cat. Sophie is a five year old rescue and Simon was rescued as an alley-cat kitten, about 12 years ago. “In the wild”, we have feeding stations that attract more than a dozen species of birds, and we have a “yard-turtle” (spotted box turtle) who makes regular rounds in our backyard and patio, collecting low-hanging tomatoes and pieces of cantaloupe in season – and never gets in a hurry.

My husband and I have lived in Roswell for 30 years and have two grown sons who have now brought grand-dogs into the family. I’ve been affiliated with Happy Tails for about two years, and I find real pleasure in caring for all the pups, kitties and other little family members. My usual areas include Roswell, Alpharetta and Johns Creek. I’ve never yet met a pet that I couldn’t get along with, and always enjoy making new acquaintances!

Rebecca

I provide mid-day dog walking and pet sittingRebecca to the Alpharetta, Roswell, and John’s Creek areas. From an early age I realized I was an animal lover. I have had dogs, cats, and rats all my life. Sometimes small children will be timid when near dogs, but not me. For several years I took horseback riding lessons and loved being near the barns and the animals. I’ve been pet sitting for years and have volunteered with Second Chance Animal Rescue. While attending Valdosta State University I realized that marketing was not the career track for me and transferred to the Animal Behavioral College. This school provided me with a well-rounded education on not only dog training but also pet care and the tools used in caring for them. I have now found my calling and have a passion for animal care.

Caroline

I provide Pet Sitting and Dog walking ServicesCaroline in the Alpharetta and John’s Creek areas. I grew up in Atlanta and have lived in Alpharetta for 16 years. I am married with two daughters in high school and we currently have 4 dogs (all rescues) and 2 cats. We have also had hamsters, guinea pigs, mice and fish. I am an animal lover who has never been without a pet. My girls and I have volunteered with a dog rescue group for several years and we have fostered many dogs ranging in age from newborn puppies to senior citizens. We had a dog with diabetes and had to give her insulin twice a day so I am familiar with giving shots. I know what it’s like to leave your pet. You wonder what they are thinking, when you will be back – my goal is to make them happy and relaxed so you won’t have any worries and neither will your pet.

Carol

I provide pet sitting and dog walking CarolServices in the Cumming area. I’ve had pets in my life since childhood. Now I have great grand dogs in the “grown up years.” Not everyone is suited for a pet but those of us who have one or more share a common bond. Note that I didn’t say animal, I said pet because pets form a personal relationship with us; offering love, loyalty, companionship, comfort and always a listening ear. When I traveled for business and the occasional vacation and had to leave our pet I needed to know that someone responsible, caring and understanding was there to take care of my pets, to keep them safe and happy. It wasn’t easy to find that right someone.

Shortly after I retired from corporate America I decided I still had something to offer the business world. Instead of going into a stressful job however, I went into a stress relief job and I get that benefit daily just by stroking the heads, necks, ears and backs of your furry kids. It’s a win win situation for you, your pet and me plus I gain their trust and unconditional love. It’s a rewarding job.

Spence

I provide overnight care, dog walking and pet sitting services toSpence clients in Cumming, Alpharetta, and Roswell. I have had animals all my life ranging from exotic birds to farm animals. I live in the city of Milton on a small family farm. As of right now, our family consists of 22 pets of our own including dogs, cats, birds, goats, horse, pig, and a donkey. We are, however, always rescuing some sort of creature, so our family is constantly growing and changing. In the attached picture are just two of my children as the others were busy causing trouble. I am certified in animal first-aid and CPR. I am extremely comfortable dealing with all types of animals, administering medications, and keeping living areas clean. I am an Eagle Scout and that gives me the confidence and patience needed to deal with animals. My sister and girlfriend are both veterinary technicians so I have 24-hour access should a need arise.

Sam(antha)

I am the reason that Happy Tails began, and now the VP of operations. I provide the insight and the canine point-of-view that is needed to ensure each pet is pampered to in the way that we all deserve.
